About this ebook

Master the Language of UK Roads and Pass Your Driving Test with Confidence!

Navigating Britain's road network requires fast, accurate recognition of every sign, symbol, and line marking. Whether you are preparing for your DVSA Theory Test, gearing up for your practical driving test, or looking to refresh your road knowledge, Traffic Signs & Road Markings: An Essential Guide provides the clear, practical guidance you need.

Many learner drivers struggle to bridge the gap between memorising definitions and applying them behind the wheel. This eBook takes a practical, real-world approach—explaining not just what each sign or marking means, but exactly where and why you will encounter them on everyday roads.

What’s Inside:

Comprehensive UK Sign Coverage: In-depth guide to warning, regulatory, direction, information, and motorway signs.

Road Markings Demystified: Clear explanations of double white lines, box junctions, lane arrows, bus lanes, and hatched areas.

Theory & Practical Test Prep: Designed to align with official DVSA standards to help you pass both exams on your first attempt.

Real-World Driving Scenarios: Helps you interpret complex junctions, roundabouts, and dual carriageways in real time.

Instant Digital Access: Read anytime on your Android phone, tablet, eReader, or desktop through Google Play Books.

Perfect for learner drivers, supervising parents, driving instructors, and foreign licence holders adapting to UK roads.

About the author

Don has spent most of his life working in the driver training and testing industry. He began as a driving instructor way back in 1984 working for a local driving school, before retraining under the British School of Motoring, and eventually going on to run his own business. Not content to stay at that level, he became a member of the Institute of Advanced Motorists, passed the RoSPA police driving test at gold standard; and began to train company car drivers for the advanced tests. Don then went on to become a driving examiner, a job which he did for many years before leaving to branch out on his own once again. He now spends most of his time writing, using his extensive experience at all levels of driver training and testing to produce a series of books which will hopefully help him to pass on some of that knowledge to you
