About the author
Raised alongside a brother and two sisters who occasionally squabble but always have each other’s backs, Diane Kelly began her love affair with muscle cars in her teens when, shortly after obtaining her driver’s license, she was tasked with buying biscuits at the grocery store and handed the keys to her granny’s brawny 1972 Chevy Nova. Who knew a routine errand could provide such a thrill? She later drove her own first car, a Ford Mustang, with more passion than caution, eventually striking a streetlight in a spectacular show that resulted in lots of neighborhood gossip but no serious injuries. Her ultimate dream ride? A 1976 yellow-and-black Camaro Rally Sport. When not writing, Diane volunteers at her local animal shelter, caters to her demanding cats, and hikes with her dogs in the woods around her North Carolina home.
