Abandoning the ruins of their home to take their chances in the Wasteland, the group soon realizes their problems have only begun: an unknown killer —possibly inside their ranks—has begun picking off the survivors one by one. And Rachel and Logan must question whether the price of freedom may be too great—and whether they can make it out of the Wasteland alive.

• A Killer in Their Ranks: As Rachel and Logan lead their people through the Wasteland, a murderer begins to strike from within their group. Trust is a luxury they can’t afford.
• A Dangerous Journey: With their home in ashes, a small band of survivors must cross the treacherous Wasteland, where rival armies and a monstrous beast known as the Cursed One hunt them at every turn.
• Warrior Heroine: Trained to fight and fiercely protective, Rachel Adams is determined to keep her people safe. But when faced with impossible choices, she’ll have to decide what she’s willing to sacrifice for their future.
• Found Family: Logan and Rachel are reluctant leaders, but the survivors of Baalboden look to them for hope. They must forge a new family from the ashes, even as betrayal threatens to tear them apart.
