This is Jaclyn and Kingston's story. What happens when you think you left your past behind? Then that person walks back into your life? Attraction is still there, but her brother will stop at nothing to not let them be. Follow the drama as it unfolds. Or is that Scandel?. Kingston came to Jaclyn’s rescue but her hot headed brother didn’t see it that way and forced a duel, one where he shot before the signal. Kingston didn’t expect to see Jaclyn at the school next door to his best friend’s country home, nor did he expect to fall for her after he saves her from drowning but her stubborn brother could still come between them in this steamy forbidden romance.

This third book in the Havenwood series was an interesting enemies to lovers' historical romance. An accidental meeting led to a duel and ruined reputation. The exile to an academy with drama, action, intense emotions, and growth of intense feelings was engaging. The characters were complex and interesting. The ending was lovely.
