About this ebook

A dark tide rises on the high seas. Former operative Paul Cutler investigates a marine scientist's disappearance, uncovering a web of maritime crime and exploitation. On a Taiwanese fishing vessel, Cutler finds a crew enslaved, subject to brutal punishments. The apparent murder he investigates points to darker crimes, including the massacre of an Indonesian crew in the same waters. As he seeks the truth, Cutler faces a moral reckoning: can he escape with his life, and at what cost? Cutler plunges into a world of illegal fishing, human trafficking, and environmental destruction. For readers seeking a gripping, atmospheric thriller with a morally complex protagonist, this maritime crime novel explores the depths of human nature and the lawless corners of the ocean. Perfect for fans of David Whish-Wilson and ocean-based suspense.
