About this ebook
For nearly 2000 years, the Sermon on the Mount has been the subject of endless discussion and controversy.
Authors Dockery and Garland bring puzzling portions of Jesus' message to light. They uncover important background information on Old Testament law, Jewish faith and culture and makes this monumental passage more easily understandable. What does it mean to be "the salt of the earth" in the 1990s? What are the real implications of going the "second mile"?
The Christian who wants to translate faith into vital lifestyle will find practical encouragement in these teachings of Jesus.
