The Bayfield Affair

Reeling from a painful divorce, former newspaper editor Glenn Alcott retreats to his family’s second home in the quiet town of Bayfield, Wisconsin. There, he crosses paths with Andrea, a gifted artist and the spirited owner of Bayfield Wood & Pottery. Their first encounters are a comedy of misread signals — leaving Andrea questioning whether Glenn is a wandering flirt, a cheating husband, or something more troubling.

But as misunderstandings unravel, a connection takes root. Through shared pottery lessons, both begin to mend past wounds — only to discover a deeper thread linking them: a life-altering moment on the shores of Lake Superior from decades past.

Despite Andrea’s marriage, their growing bond becomes undeniable. One stolen afternoon of passion forces Andrea to confront the truth about her loveless relationship. With quiet conviction, she chooses to leave her marriage and follow her heart.

To avoid the scrutiny of small-town whispers, Glenn and Andrea decide to leave Bayfield together. But just as their shared future begins, tragedy strikes. Separated by circumstance and misguided advice, their communication falters. As time and distance stretch between them, they must each decide if love alone is enough to bridge the divide.

Framed by the untamed beauty of Lake Superior, The Bayfield Affair delves into the raw, unpredictable nature of second chances — and whether love can endure when tested by life’s harshest tides.
