About this ebook

From the New York Times bestselling scream queen author comes a chilling horror novel where a sister is yanked back in time to Halloween the year prior—the same night her sister was murdered.

“This terrifying book reads like a horror movie. No, wait. It has the suspense and shocks and screams of TEN horror movies in one. Great nasty fun!”—R.L. Stine, author of Goosebumps and Fear Street

“Chilling and unpredictable. A meta must-read for horror fans and thrill-seekers.”—Jessica Goodman, New York Times bestselling author of They’ll Never Catch Us

Alice Lawrence is the sole witness in her sister’s murder trial.

And in the year since Claire’s death, Alice’s life has completely fallen apart. Her parents have gotten divorced, she’s moved into an apartment that smells like bologna, and she is being forced to face her sister’s killer and a courtroom full of people who doubt what she saw in the corn maze a year prior.

Claire was an all-American girl, beautiful and bubbly, and a theater star. Alice was a nerd who dreamed of becoming a forensic pathologist and would rather stay at home to watch her favorite horror movies than party. Despite their differences, they were best friends, bonded by sisterhood.

Until Claire was taken away from her.

On the first day of the murder trial, as Alice prepares to give her testimony, she is knocked out by a Sidney Prescott lookalike in the courthouse bathroom. When she wakes up, it is Halloween night a year earlier, the same day Claire was murdered. Alice has until midnight to save her sister and find the real killer before he claims another victim.

Honestly this is the worst book I have gotten. At first it was great, we should have left the sister dead. I hate that she ran away from Wes and tried to kill him. You're awful! I felt highly uncomfortable and my brain deluled itself into thinking that those feelings are real. I loved the romance at the beginning, but who knows if they are going to stay together if she ran away 2x and tried to kill him. You should have killed both of them in the damn corn maze. I would have enjoyed the book more

I liked most of this book but it earned itself only three stars because of that ending which is very abrupt and shocking and not good. Plus it did not resolve anything! I like my scary, slasher, horror books and movies to have a better ending than that. I mean, what is the point of going back in time to save your sister from being murdered and turning it out like that? I was good with most of the story. It had a good premise with the murder of Claire and I liked it except for the ending.

Good read and then the ending just ends no explanation no feeling of completeness...very disappointing because it held my attention and then just ended horribly.
