About this ebook

She knows she isn't an addict.

So why does she wake up in a hospital with a needle in her arm...and her little boy gone?

Tara Shiloh has no memory of how she ended up in a dark alley, but everyone else seems convinced they already know the truth. Child Protective Services has taken her son. The police believe she's lying. Even Tara begins to wonder if she's losing herself.

Attorney Reid Holliston has spent years defending people who swear they're innocent. Experience has taught him that almost none of them are. When Tara, the girl he once considered family, asks for his help, every instinct tells him to walk away.

Instead, he uncovers a trail of lies that reaches far beyond a single overdose.

As Tara and Reid race to uncover what really happened, they'll discover that someone is willing to destroy an innocent life to keep the truth buried—and the closer they get, the more dangerous the answers become.

Just enough thrill & drama to make you read all night long. I can't put it down! Though it's the 1st part of the series, the ending was done pretty well. No cliffhanger but you will still crave to read the 2nd book.

Book was great for most of it. The end was way different in tone. It simply developed into some romantic mush. It seemed to far removed from the really well written first thirty chapters. Ending before leaving Boston would have preserved the integrity of the story.

The damsel in distress got a bit too irritating for me ... always needy n doe eyed character was just annoying ... takes away the respect for any woman's capabilities I felt . .
