Der Band stellt die (fremd-)sprachendidaktischen Beiträge des 3. Kongresses "Contrastivica – Deutsch-iberische Tagung zur kontrastiven Linguistik" vor, der im Oktober 2014 zum Thema "Sprachen und Kulturen vermitteln zwischen Spanien, Portugal und Deutschland: Kontrastive Linguistik und Fremdsprachenforschung in Zeiten transkultureller kommunikativer Kompetenz" in Valencia stattgefunden hat. Die Einzelstudien zeigen am Beispiel des Sprachenpaares Spanisch – Deutsch (mit Ausblicken auf das Katalanische, Portugiesische und weitere romanische Sprachen), wie gerade auch linguistische Ansätze für die Fremdsprachendidaktik (hier DaF und Spanisch als Fremdsprache / ELE) fruchtbar gemacht werden können und veranschaulichen so, wie die Linguistik (wieder) zu einer zentralen Bezugsdisziplin der Fremdsprachenforschung werden kann.
