Cold Run

A Cole Walker Action Thriller

He was hired to find one man.

He was never supposed to find out why.

Former operative Cole Walker takes what looks like a routine private security job: locate Marcus Baker, a corporate analyst who disappeared with stolen defense technology and bring him home.

Simple.

Until someone tries to kill Cole before he can find him.

Baker has disappeared with classified ARGUS data—a revolutionary defense program containing a buried flaw that could have catastrophic consequences if the wrong people gain control of it. Now a ruthless contractor named Dade Sorrell is hunting Baker, while Cole's mysterious client, Voss, insists the job is nothing more than a retrieval.

Cole doesn't believe him.

As the bodies pile up, Cole follows Baker's trail from abandoned airstrips and coastal bars to hidden safe houses, corrupt shipping companies, and a growing conspiracy reaching into the highest levels of the defense industry.

Then Cole discovers the truth.

He's not hunting Baker.

He's being used to flush him into the open.

Worse, someone has been tracking Cole's every move from the beginning. Every motel. Every gas station. Every safe house. Every contact.

The job was never designed to bring Baker back alive.

It was designed to make sure he never talks.

Now Cole has to keep Baker alive long enough to expose the people behind the operation—and uncover the real buyer before ARGUS disappears aboard a cargo ship bound for international waters.

But the men coming after them aren't amateurs.

They know how Cole thinks.

They know how he fights.

And they're willing to kill anyone who gets between them and the technology.

From covert operations and corporate espionage to black-ops assassins, CIA-style intrigue, tactical combat, international conspiracy, corrupt intelligence networks, and nonstop action, COLD RUN is a hard-driving spy thriller built for readers who love relentless manhunts, dangerous secrets, and lone operatives caught in a conspiracy far bigger than the original mission.

The target is running.

The hunters are closing in.

And Cole Walker is about to discover that the most dangerous enemy is the man who hired him.
