Crystal Bound: A Witches of Mingus Mountain "Back in Time" Novella

Ailsa McAllister was born to lead her clan — if her power ever wakes. Without the consort kiss before her twenty-second birthday, the gift inside her will sleep forever…and her people will pay the price.

When her father trades her in marriage to Lachlan McDougall, a warlock whose magic bends others to his will, Ailsa knows the truth no one else will say: this match will doom her power and chain her to a man who means to break her. She has seen what he intends.

And she has no intention of letting it happen.

The only person she trusts is the last person she’s allowed to want. Ewan is base-born, a blacksmith, forbidden to a prima by every law her clan keeps. But his forge-fire and her stone-sight together can craft something the McDougall warlock will never see coming…if Ailsa is willing to risk everything on a love that was never supposed to be hers.

In the dark woods of seventeenth-century Argyll, a desperate woman, a forbidden man, and a single crystal charm will set in motion a legacy that echoes four hundred years into the future.

Crystal Bound is a stand-alone “back in time” novella that bridges The Witches of Mingus Mountain and the upcoming Witches of Oak Creek series. Step into a deep, interconnected world of witch clans, fated bonds, and forbidden love — no prior reading required.
