This story is intense and emotional, with likable characters and secrets hanging between them. Even after the truth comes to light, the habit of distrust is difficult to overcome. I enjoyed how strong and determined Iain and Seraphina are. Thanks, NetGalley, for the ARC I received. This is my honest and voluntary review.

Seraphina and Iain's story really did a number on my heart. This story had a fierceness to it that made the drama, emotions, angst, and twist all the more potent. It tied my heart and feelings into great big knots.

This book was absolutely heartbreaking! Iain and Seraphina completely wrecked me! I can't believe how much I cried. Each time I thought it couldn't get worse, it did. I really don't want to say much because I don't want to spoil a single bit of this wonderful book. This is a real love story between two people who should have always been together and were cruelly ripped apart in the past. I loved seeing them rediscover their love for each other and find a way to be together in the future. *sigh*
