About this ebook

The book Emerging White Analytical Methods gives an overview of the development, principles and progress, as well as the future of a new paradigm in analytical chemistry: White Analytical Chemistry (WAC) which combines analytical performance with the principles of sustainability, green chemistry and efficient resource use. The book covers the evolution of analytical methodology from the past to the present, with a specific focus on the evolution of analytically efficient, cost-effective and environmentally friendly analytical systems. It spans the full range of advanced analytical technologies including sample preparation methods that are environmentally friendly; chromatographic and electrophoretic methods; membrane-based methods; spectroscopic methods; microfluidics; lab on a chip technology; miniaturized instruments and intelligent analytical systems. Applicability of WAC in pharmaceuticals, clinical and biomedical sciences, food and agriculture and forensic investigations is highlighted. In addition, the volume showcases the transformative power of chemometrics, machine learning, artificial intelligence, bioengineered green nanomaterials, and open-access hardware/software platforms in paving the way for the future of analytical methods. It also covers several important issues including toxicity assessment, safety issues, regulatory issues, and legal issues concerning new generation Green Nanomaterials. The book brings together fundamental concepts, technological developments, applications and future directions and will therefore be useful for researchers, academicians, industry professionals and students in the field of analytical chemistry, green chemistry, nanotechnology, biotechnology and related interdisciplinary areas. - A detailed account of the development and principles of White Analytical Chemical Methods from basics to innovations in the future. - Development of sustainable and efficient analytical technologies such as green, miniaturized and AI technologies. - Discussion of various applications in pharmacology, biomedical field, food, agriculture, forensics and nanotechnology.
