About this ebook

The apostle Paul was, in his own words, "the chief of all sinners." Yet, this colossal figure left an indelible signature of greatness. Join renowned pastor Charles Swindoll in Great Lives: Paul as he examines the influence and impact of this remarkable man.

Tough, tenacious, and fiercely determined, Paul pursued his divine mission with unflinching resolve, and God used him mightily to turn the world upside down for Christ in his generation. Perhaps that's why Paul's life is such a source of hope for us. If the chief of sinners can be forgiven and become God's chosen vessel, can He not forgive and use us as well?

In Great Lives: Paul, the sixth book in his bestselling Great Lives series, Swindoll argues that no other person in the Bible, aside from Christ himself, had a more profound influence on his world and ours today than Paul.

Within the pages of Great Lives: Paul, Swindoll paints a vivid picture of Paul's incredible life and legacy, tracing the story of how God reached down to Paul in all his self-righteous zeal and:

  • crushed his pride
  • softened his heart
  • and transformed this once-violent aggressor into an influential spokesman for Christ

Join Swindoll as he invites you to travel far back to another place in another era--allowing us to focus our attention on this one man's life, clinging closely to his side. Hopefully, as a result, our lives will never again be the same.

Clearly Swindle is of the "White" Evangelical persuasion. A world where everything is White and Superior. The arrogance of portraying those in scripture as white, the Apostle Paul, Christ Yeshua, the Disciples and prophets is appalling and erroneous. But it has always been the norm for Europeans since the indoctrination of the Black and White concept. The White-Washing of everything that is black is now depicted as White, which is evil within itself. Every image in scriptire are washed into a white image. Just notice even the cover of all Swindles books, the images are that of white men from Europe or the Caucusas Mountains. But white pseudo and unregenerate christian see it as truth, and are offended when corrected, as they are unsaved and carnal. 85 percent of the world's non white population mocks the white superiority concept. . if the white man is superior and he certainly is not, then those in scripture especially Christ debunks the entire wicked concept of white superiority.

I've read this book twice, and will re-read for the third time soon. Wishing all of you, one of the best reads and a knowledgeable, spiritual piece. Wish we were all like Paul. Charles Swindoll allows you to see, hear and listen to Pauls full journey. A great effort to overturn every pebble that Paul walked over and stepped on. Dennis

This was a great biography of Paul, but so much more also, as it examines not just Paul's life but his motivation for life. Very convicting. I used the chapters from this book as a 3 month series in Sunday School.
