It names names and tells what the situations were like when these men and women came to the colonies in the 1600s - 1700s. These are the things that we don't learn in school, so this is a very good read. It amazes me that people could not move from one place where it was dangerous to live to another. The very idea that there would be an edict telling them to leave the place they moved to, Boston, and return to where they were likely to face persecution and of course die fighting natives, if not from sickness.
