Captivated

Sarah just finished identifying two bodies at the Manhattan morgue, her sister Leah, her brother Elijah, when a black limousine glides to the curb and a stoic surgeon in a three-thousand-dollar coat steps out holding her infant nephew, Joshua. Cyrus Norouzi is a world-class cardiac specialist, a natural-born son of the trillionaire Norouzi family, and the man Leah secretly named in her will.

Sarah is a waitress. Cyrus wants her to move into his beach compound in Virgin Cove and co-raise the child her sister left behind. She's too broke to say no. Too proud to look grateful.

And then Darren Davis comes back.

Sarah's mother's old pimp, the man who sold Sarah's virginity at sixteen, has heard there's Norouzi money on the table, and he wants his cut.

Forced proximity. Billionaire + nanny. Guardian of infant nephew. Quiet stoic hero meets a survivor who refuses to let him save her.

Passion was temporary and my heart was locked away, except you’d never have expected what happened next because I never had.
