An Eldridge Sample Western Thriller

They called her a killer.

Eldridge Sample needed to know if she was a survivor.

Two men are dead in a Dodge City hotel room.

A woman named Ona Faye Combs walked away.

The wanted posters say she fled the scene armed and dangerous. The law says she’s a murderer. The bounty says she’s worth bringing back alive.

But Eldridge Sample has spent twenty years reading trails, and something about this one doesn’t add up.

The room tells a different story.

A chair positioned near the door.

A missing dress.

A trail heading south.

And eighty-three dollars left behind in a dead man’s saddlebag.

Ona Faye didn’t take what she could steal.

She took only what she needed.

Now Eldridge is following her trail across the brutal Kansas frontier and into Indian Territory, where every mile reveals another piece of the truth — and every person he meets seems to know more about Ona Faye than they’re willing to say.

Because Ona Faye Combs isn’t just running from the law.

She’s been planning this escape for months.

And the closer Eldridge gets, the more he has to ask himself the question no bounty hunter wants to answer:

Is he chasing a murderer… or the only person in the story who survived?

A gripping Western thriller filled with mystery, danger, unforgettable characters, and the kind of frontier justice where the truth is harder to find than the outlaw.
