About this ebook

Bradley Booth adds flesh and bones--and amazing depth of detail--to Jesus' parable of the prodigal son. He weaves a riveting story of greed, jealousy, anguish, and, finally, transforming love. The Prodigal demonstrates the hazards of stubborn pride and independence. Without God and family, the world is not enough. In the end the smart thing is to return to the loving arms we left behind.

I am so thankful that I took the time to read this book, especially since I am now in the position of the father. The author skillfully makes Jesus' timeless story of the prodigal son and his family, come alive by placing it in its historical setting, weaving into it the culture and customs of the Jewish nation. This gives the story an extra depth of meaning and provides a practical illustration in how to treat people, even in our own day today, who face similar situations. I highly recommend this book to any parent who has adult children and to anyone who is seeking to work for the salvation of others.
