The deeper Russell digs, the more dangerous the glitch appears -- and soon, Russell comes to realize there's much more is at stake than just one software company's bottom line.

This book was a wonderful journey, but like the video games to which it pays homage, the ending left me feeling a bit flat. However, like those games, it's the journey that matters.

Great book. It is always fun to read anything from either of the incredibly talented and intelligent Grossman brothers. I find both of them to be very gifted observers of the human conditions, isolation, frustration difficulties and frailties that the highly intelligent are plagued by. Where Lev Grossman writing is brooding and dark, I find Austin's work to be optimistic and light hearted. Is Lev the Cain to Austin's Abel, I wonder? Regardless, this is a terrific book. Buy it, read it.
