Army of Angels - Book 5

A massive nonprofit known as The Ark Directorate claims it’s funding interplanetary exploration and preparing a fair evacuation lottery for a rumored destination: Planet X. The Covenant has watched them for years and found nothing illegal, because the Directorate’s real crime isn’t in the books. It’s in the pattern.

Recognition, a spaceport compliance investigator known for seeing what others miss, confirms what the world can’t prove: Planet X is viable, and the moment that confirmation arrives, everything goes unnaturally quiet. Access is revoked. Oversight vanishes. A lottery appears overnight like hope on demand. And she realizes the truth: the lottery is theater. The selection is already made.

Worse, the Ark Directorate is accelerating Earth’s decline, using deep, engineered tectonic triggers to manufacture disasters, unlock funding, and force the world into panic compliance. Their logic is simple and monstrous: destroy the old world faster, escape sooner, and curate humanity for a clean start elsewhere.

But Recognition sees the flaw they refuse to admit: destroying Earth doesn’t increase survival, it reduces it. Earth is still the only support system they have. Sabotaging it risks everything, launch, travel, and the species itself.

When she brings her findings to her boss and gets isolated, she does the only thing left she alerts the Covenant. Ordinary people step into extraordinary consequence. The Covenant must decide whether to stay invisible or break cover. And the clock ticks toward a launch window built on lies.

Balance isn’t judgment. It’s restraint, vigilance, and consequences. And someone is stealing the timeline.
