I waited years for this book. So long that I re-read the other books 3 times to build up the angst only to wait some more lol... Anna is one of my favourite writers when it comes to these genres .. she does it so well. I was so invested in the story that when it came to an end I was gutted! Lol it was a little shorter than I'd like but we had all the passion, build up and heat all of her books gives us. Alexei and Alina's story will stay with me for a long time. Passion unparalleled.

Alexei and Alina's conclusion a forced marriage. She is now sick and in need of cancer treatment. She can't understand the need to be around him even though she didn't want to marry him. Also, the rival between their families is still there. I disnt like how he would limit and monitor her time with her family after her surgery. His control and manipulation to get her was OTT and even once she said he loved her he would not say it back. I am glad we finally got their story

What a wild ride! This is the third book in the series, and it was the perfect way to end Alina and Alexei's intense journey. I loved how their arranged marriage, which started as a prison, evolved into something deeper and more complicated. As they faced external threats and internal struggles, their bond was tested in ways that kept me hooked until the very end.
