The Mortal Falls

This is a very intriguing and interesting supernatural/fantasy story. I really like the characters and the plot. It's a fairly captivating story. I like Nevan and Lindsey! Although different their story does remind me of another popular saga but this is definitely more enjoyable and better written. I look forward to reading the next story in the series to find out what happens next.

Dropped right into the middle of a situation, Lindsey finds herself in trouble from the beginning. In her search for answers she finds Nevan but nothing is easy. This is a fast paced romp with action, adventure, romance and some really bad bad guys. There is a second book but this one doesn't spend a ton of time setting the scene like some first in a series do. Deft handling of characters development and world building makes it easy to follow along and gather information as you go rather than having it all tossed at you at the cost of the flow of the story. Well written, entertaining and adventuresome, there are twists and turns you won't see coming, a strong female lead and a great hero for her. Looking forward to more in this series. (I voluntarily reviewed an ARC).

The storyline definitely got my attention at the very beginning kept me interested in the twist and turns along with the challenges did not see coming.
