About this ebook

In this provocative and eye-opening classic of investigative journalism, the #1 New York Times bestselling author, Ann Rule, explores the nearly twenty-year long search for America’s most prolific and horrifying serial killer.

On July 15, 1982, eighteen-year-old Wendy Coffield's body is found floating near the sandy shore of Washington's Green River. Authorities have no idea that this tragic and violent death is only the beginning of a string of murders that will rock and terrify the Seattle area for two decades.

With her signature riveting prose and in-depth research, Ann Rule takes us behind the scenes of the search for the Green River Killer, a terrifying specter who ritualistically killed young women and eluded authorities for years. From seeking the help of incarcerated serial killer Ted Bundy to Ann Rule’s horrifying realization that the killer she was writing about had attended her book signings, Green River, Running Red is the suspenseful and unforgettable “definitive narrative of the brutal and senseless crimes that haunted the Seattle area for decades” (Publishers Weekly).

Seriously I love Ann Rules books and I think she is truly gifted but am getting tired of the references to Ted Bundy more than 20 times in this book alone also in some of her other books and I dont see the need for it

I accidentally came across Ann Rule's books while perusing my bookstore years ago. Her style brings you right into the scenarios, making you feel as if you are experiencing the emotional pain & impacts of the victims, their families & the investigators. Her research is infallible. You get to know the personalities & qualities of everyone. When I bought my first 7 books, I was surprised to discover all my copies were handsigned! I had them for many years. Sadly upon my last move, my library collection were all but ruined. I am happy to read & listen to the books again here!

This book combined the voices of the victims with the investigation and also with killer. Seamlessly written to keep the reader engaged and focused on the big picture.
