About this ebook

Faith fled her compound one wintry night with four other genetically modified women. Glory, Honor, Charity, and Hope have all found men who adore them. Faith is happy for her sisters, but it’s lonely on her own. A man piqued her interest, but she ran the probabilities, and the odds of him ever being interested in her are thin. Tough and forbidding, Reginald was a field surgeon in the Middle East. He eats and breathes medicine. Besides, he’s married to the CIA. No wives in his past. Faith hacked into the personnel database to check.

Reginald Thomas agreed to run the CIA’s infirmary after a bullet nailed him in Afghanistan. He’s one of a handful of scientists who produced the original batches of genetically modified humans, and he’s laid low since their rebellion. The catastrophe rankles, but he hasn’t given up finding a fix for their genome problems.

A permanent bachelor for a host of feeble reasons, he’s substituted immersion in medicine and science for a personal life. Easier that way. And a whole lot cleaner. The status quo might be sterile, but at least it’s trouble free. When Faith catches his eye, he fights his attraction to her, but it’s a losing battle. Loving her fulfills him, and he can’t walk away. What will happen if she discovers he helped create those like her? In a radical departure from his normal forthright manner, he buries that fact deep. If she never finds out, it can’t ever come back to bite him.

PRAISE FOR THE GENTECH REBELLION SERIES:

“HOLY MOTHERSHIP! This is a SPECTACULAR sci-fi/paranormal romance of a book! It is just so...so...SO WOW!!!! I have read a fair number of Ann's books and have enjoyed EVERY. SINGLE. ONE!” Goodreads review

“Add in enough action to leave you gasping for air, a splash of humor, a shot of mystery, stir in some psychic abilities and finish it off with a dash of romance and you are left with a read that will make you lose all track of time.” Goodreads review

“From page one, I was drawn into Winning Glory by Ann Gimpel. The streets of downtown Seattle came to life right before my eyes, even though I've never visited the city. Detail to description is the mark of a premiere UF author, and Ms. Gimpel doesn't disappoint with book one in her new series.” Goodreads review

“This is a new author for me, I've have never read Ann Gimpel Books before. I have to say I was impressed. This Author is very talented in the way she writes.” Goodreads review

The last book in this series and you couldn't have asked for a better ending. This thriller/romance/futuristic story has a terrific storyline in what could easily be a possible future. A Black Ops CIA team for 7 years have been eliminating many of the genetically engineered race of beings they have named "freaks." These freaks rebelled against the scientist that created them and killed many of them and others .Now their only wish is to kill all the humans they can, while the males now keep their own kind (women and children) in the compounds they were once grown and experimented on. We learn from Books 1-4 that an Ops team has rescued and accepted into their ranks 4 women and 2 men from one of the compounds and the series tells the stories of these 6 "freaks" and how they have found life worth living. We see friendships, acceptance and love grow between them and the humans. In this last story the team learns what the remaining thousands of freaks have planned and try desperately to stop them. Meanwhile life goes on; they must learn each others ways, learn to trust, accept that not all on either side will. They will also learn that love, and the passion that goes with it, is possible. The ending of the series is unexpected, climatic and leaves this reader satisfied with how these two races, one born into humanity and the other grown in a test tube, will end. But I have hopes that the author will one day miss this world she created and go back to give us more.
