This edition is a 21st-century update of Murray’s classic. I have kept his core message and passionate call to complete surrender intact, while rewriting much of the content and language for today’s world. The heart of the book—learning to live in absolute surrender to Christ—is just as needed now as it was in Murray’s day.

Wherever possible, I have maintained Murray’s earnest and compelling style. However, chapter titles and much of the content have been rewritten to reflect how a believer living in the twenty-first century would apply these life-changing truths.

My prayer is that this updated edition will stir up a new generation of Christians to fully surrender their lives to the lordship of Christ.
