About this ebook

The Bourne Identity meets 24 in New York Times bestseller Andrew Klavan's The Homelanders Series.

High schooler Charlie West just woke up in a nightmare.

He's strapped to a chair. He's covered in blood and bruises. He hurts all over. And a strange voice outside the door just ordered his death.

Charlie West is a good kid. The last thing he can remember, he was a normal high-school student doing normal things--working on his homework, practicing karate, daydreaming of becoming an air force pilot, writing a pretty girl's number on his hand. How long ago was that? And more to the point . . . How is he going to get out of this room alive?

By calling on his deepest reserves of strength and focus, Charlie manages a desperate escape . . . only to find out that this nightmare isn't ending. There's a whole year of his life that he can't remember--a year in which he was convicted of murdering his best friend and working with terrorists.

Now, with the police hunting him and a band of killers on his trail, he's got to find the answers to some of the deepest questions there are: Who am I? What do I stand for? And how am I going to stay alive?

If you love stories with relentless twists and turns, relatable protagonists with strong moral convictions, fugitive thrillers, and the complications of amnesia, you won't want to miss The Homelanders Series.

The Homelanders Series includes The Last Thing I Remember, The Long Way Home, The Truth of the Matter, and The Final Hour.

The intense and thrilling quickness of The Last Thing I Remember is enough to keep you reading right on to the end. Andrew Klavan couldn't make this book seem any realistic using the perfect age for the main character Charlie West, making sure still you but was an adult. Keeping guessing, wondering and changing your prediction of what will happen almost regularly. The book is like reading a mystery in some ways by not telling everything and keeping you wondering who the characters are what happening and how is Charlie going to get out of it. I would highly recommend this book to anybody who like fast action and a great thrill.

I loved reading the entire series it was thrilling. While reading this book I went to the kitchen to get something to eat and stood in front of my food reading for an entire hour until I could no longer see the words. Looking up I realized the sun had gone down and it was practically pitch black, these books are captivating and I hope you enjoy them just as much as I have.
