Dog Days: Life in Lockdown with Olive & Mabel

Meet Olive and Mabel—the Labradors whose sweet faces and viral antics brought laughter, comfort, and hope during lockdown. With his signature dry wit, BBC sports broadcaster Andrew Cotter transformed his quiet days at home with two lovable Labradors into moments of global joy. But behind the internet fame was a deeper story—about routine, resilience, and the healing power of dogs.

From Zoom mishaps and empty stadiums to countryside walks and muddy pawprints on the carpet, Dog Days: Life in Lockdown with Olive & Mabel is a laugh-out-loud, quietly profound memoir of one unforgettable year, told through the eyes of two canine companions who helped their human—and millions of others—stay sane. Whether you follow Olive and Mabel online or are just discovering their charm, this memoir is a heartwarming celebration of dogs, devotion, and the lasting bonds that carry us through.
