I'm almost 300 pages into the book and nothing exciting has happened. I've been told to keep on reading but the book just goes too much into detail and just keeps dragging on. Sure there was a few parts so far that are and were good, but not enough action, some awkward topics are discussed in the book, and its just so boring. If I do finish it, I'll try to write an updated review if I remember too.

I found this book to be great! It does have some parts where the description drags on and you feel like skipping, but the hardships and time period described makes it work with the different culture and other ideas the Alison Goodman came up with. If you're looking for a character that doesn't feel any sense of belonging, and has to manipulate her way through politics just to survive; this is the book for you!
