About this ebook

Human Remains is not a book about human resources. It is a mirror reflecting Indonesia's workforce while asking the questions that never appear in annual reports.

What does dignity mean for a fisherman who has lost his livelihood and now survives as a warehouse scavenger? Why is burnout so often worn as a badge of honor? Who is left behind when the definition of a "professional" is shaped by Jakarta's standards?

This book challenges the myths of human resources and reveals fractures not as failures, but as opportunities. It explores what it means to lead with authenticity, build trust, and value people beyond performance metrics.

Because in the end, policies do not build workplaces. People do.

She works with leaders and institutions to examine how artificial intelligence and automation are reshaping the workplace—and to identify the uniquely human capabilities that should never be delegated to machines.

In Human Remains, Susi offers a thoughtful and critical perspective on the future of human resources, arguing that the profession should not simply adapt to technological change, but instead reaffirm human judgment, purpose, and responsibility as the foundation of the future of work.
