Surrender to the Dragon

Princess Wren’s destiny is to die for her people. It’s not the career track she would have chosen, but sacrificial virgins don’t get to pick. On the day she turns 25, Wren will walk into the dragon’s lair, die a gruesome death, and in return, the kingdom of Barlone’s magic will be restored.

Until then, Wren is trying to enjoy what’s left of her time as the kingdom’s favorite doomed party girl. But when she’s tossed into the lair 6 months early by her overeager royal family, things don’t go as planned. Not only does Wren not die, but she acquires strange new powers, shimmering golden skin—and an unexpected ally in Lucan, a gorgeous Gryphon who by rights should be her mortal enemy.

Maybe nothing in Wren’s past, her family, or the kingdom is quite what she’s been led to believe. Wren herself is transforming, fueled by new feelings of desire and strength, and by the mysterious magic stirring to life within. And though she may not know where it’s leading, as she and Lucan work together to uncover the prophecy’s true meaning she knows one thing for sure: she won’t live, or die, as someone else’s sacrifice . . .
