A Play to Kill

Bianca Salo is beautiful, charismatic and like most actresses whose star is on the rise, has legions of followers on social media. But when she wakes one night in her apartment to find the lover who died three years earlier hovering over her, threatening her life, she calls private investigator Julia Stark.

Julia has a sixth sense when it comes to getting to the truth of the matter, her harrowing intuition the lingering legacy of her traumatic childhood. The scarred PI is not convinced that Bianca's former fiancé, whose sudden death in a Helsinki hotel room was mysterious but credible, is the culprit. But as Bianca prepares to take the stage as Lady MacBeth, a series of inexplicable accidents at the theater leave Julia with a series of eccentric suspects and, during one devastating rehearsal, a dead body. With the help of Detective Sidney Mendelson—her ex-husband and the only man she trusts—Julia must find the killer . . . before the killer finds Bianca.
