I love how in this interpretation of the story the quirky witch girl Maple, and the Kangaroo helper from the game Ricky get more focus, and practically became Link's sidekicks, and friends. They both prove very entertaining and fun characters. The story itself is a decent adaptation, and given they try to adapt the more Capcom anime art style of the Gameboy Color games, the story has a slightly cuter look than other Zelda manga volumes, but the art is still great to look at, and the story is good. Just don't expect too much dungeon crawling, but it handles things well, and the ending leads into the sequel book "Oracle of Ages" well.
