Major Crimes

After rehab and one last chance from her boss, Cleveland prosecutor Nicole Long is now Head of Major Crimes. She has a damaged reputation to repair, a staff that doesn’t trust her—and a sobriety she isn’t quite maintaining.

Then her boss hands her an overdose and calls it murder.

Nicole is expected to prosecute the woman who supplied the fatal drugs. But when another overdose leads straight into her boss’s own family, the rules change. A grieving sister wants someone punished, the evidence doesn’t fit neatly into the charges, and Nicole is caught between the woman who controls her career and the justice she’s supposed to serve.

Across the aisle, defense attorney Justin McPhee sees something more dangerous than an overzealous prosecution: revenge.

Nicole spent years fighting to reach Major Crimes. Now she’ll have to decide how much of herself she’s willing to sacrifice to stay there.

When prosecution becomes personal, where does justice end and vengeance begin?
