This book gave me a stutter. This book was ba ba ba ba ba ba boring! There, no more stutter. This is a classic and I don't care! It was dull as fuuuh and I didn't enjoy it in the least. Very wordy for something to simple. The quickest point from A to B in this book, was a series of mountainous curvy roads with speed bumps and potholes, not a straight line. I tried, boy did I try so hard to like it... It failed to grab me. I mean, whatever, I don't care. I have known for so long now that classic literature was not my thing, but I keep trying. Boy do I keep trying. This was a bad book for the likes of me, those that love it...more power to you. You can keep it. 1.5/5.

The book would've gotten 4 stars for a lack of character development. But the message in a bottle ending really felt like a cop out. Otherwise, I enjoyed the story & prose.
