I have never read a romance novel before. Or at least not one that was purely in that category. I also didn't realize this was a book 2 and I haven't read book 1 though you don't have to. This works as a stand alone. My point is I'm not sure what to compare it to. I enjoyed it. It was a pleasant escape from our increasingly dour world. Does it make me want to read more gay romance? I'm not sure. Maybe not. That's not the point, I suppose. But I like Ramin and Noah and I'm glad I got to see them find each other (again) on the page.
