About this ebook
Killing Daltonâs friend is not the way to get his attention.
Strange events bring Earth Ward Inspector Dalton Kingston and his team to southern Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Unfortunately, itâs to investigate the murder of his friend: Earth Ward Inspector Sean Chalmers and his team.
One concern is that everything points to Lightville, a lightmire stronghold. Lightmires are nonhumans who eat diseases and heal people, are natural enemies of vampires, and typically do not involve themselves in events. Now theyâre at the center of a murder investigation.
Another issue is that Seanâs team had been investigating strange occurrences, and his notes on the case were stolen.
The nonhuman worldâs eyes are on Daltonâs team, and the Earth Wardâs reputation is at stake. Dalton will do what heâs always done and rise to the occasion, displaying one of his core attributesâresilience.

Lightville: Book 2 of The Inspector Dalton Files By Adair Hart I love the world and characters in this series by Hart. In his Evaran series the great chemistry between characters is wonderful and Hart brings that same dynamic chemistry to this team too. The other thing he also shines at is the futuristic armor, weapons, transportation, and androids/AIs. The Dalton team is trying to find out who and why another Earth Ward team was killed. Lots of suspects. There are also vampires in their own town and Lightmares (healers). Everyone seems guilty to me.đ There is some suspense and sprinkling of humor too! Read book one first. Great action, dialogue, plot, and team. Always a joy to read Hart's books. This was a book I requested and the review is voluntary.
