It gives us immense pleasure to present this book on Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance for the students of Third Year B. Pharmacy (Semester VI). This book has been carefully prepared according to the latest syllabus prescribed for the B. Pharmacy curriculum, with the objective of providing students a clear understanding of the fundamental principles and practical aspects of quality assurance in the pharmaceutical industry. Quality Assurance plays a vital role in ensuring the safety, efficacy, and quality of pharmaceutical products. In today’s rapidly growing pharmaceutical sector, knowledge of concepts such as Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Quality Control, Validation, Documentation, Regulatory Requirements, Audits, and Quality Management Systems has become essential for every pharmacy student and professional. This book aims to simplify these concepts through systematic presentation and student-friendly language. While preparing this book, sincere efforts have been made to cover all topics of the syllabus in a concise, comprehensive, and examination-oriented manner. Diagrams, flowcharts, tables, and important points have been included wherever necessary to enhance understanding and retention of the subject. The content is designed not only to help students perform well in university examinations but also to build a strong conceptual foundation for industrial and professional applications. We are grateful to all teachers, colleagues, students, and well-wishers whose valuable suggestions and encouragement inspired us during the preparation of this book. Dr. Swati Vikram Patil is a distinguished academicion and researcher in the field of Pharmaceutical Sciences, with over 13 years of teaching and research experience. Driven by her passion for research and innovation, she earmed her Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Savitribai Phule University, Pune, where her doctoral research focused on the development and evaluation of nanofiber-based drug delivery systems. Dr. Patil has made significant contributions to pharmaceutical research and academic publishing. She has authored more than 20 research articles in reputed national and international joumals and has presented her research findings at several national and international conferences. She has also delivered invited lectures of various academic institutions, contributing to the advancement of pharmaceutical education and research. In addition to her research publications, Dr. Patil has authored two books in the field of Pharmaceutical Regulatory Affairs, reflecting her experise and Interest in pharmaceutical regulations and quality systems. She currently serves as an Associate Professor at Adarsh College of Pharmacy, Vita, where she is actively involved in teaching, research,

and academic mentoring. She is also a reviewer for reputed scientific journals and has been granted three copyrights and two patents, demonstrating her commitment to innovation and scholarly excellence in pharmaceutical sciences.

Ms. Nikita Dhanaji Gidde is an Assistant Professor, researcher, and academic author specializing in Pharmaceuticol

Sciences. She is currently associated with Shree Ambabai Talim Sanstha's Diploma in Pharmacy College. Miraj, Maharashtra, India, and has more than 4.5 years of teaching and ococdemic experience in pharmacy education. She holds a Master of Pharmacy (M. Pharm in Pharmaceutics from Shivaji University, Kolhapur, and has established herself through her contributions to pharmaceutical education, research, and scholarly publishing. She has authored and co-authored 33 research and review articles published in national and international journals, contributing significantly to the advancement and dissemination of scientific knowledge in the pharmaceutical domain. She is also the author of two books in Pharmacouticul Regulatory Sciences and holds a published putent. Ms. Gidde has been recognized for her academic and research excellence with the Young Researcher Award. As a Life Member of the Association of Pharmacouticul Teachers of India (APTI) and an active reviewer for scientific journals, she remains committed to advancing pharmaceutical

research, fostering academic excellence, and promoting innovation in healthcare. Hes research interests focus on drug delivery systems, regulatory sciences, quality manugomont, and the development of sufu, effective, and pation contric pharmacoutical products. Ms. Komal Suresh Age is on Assistant Professor at D.K. Auti College of Pharmacy, Pomer, Ahilyanagar, Maharashtra, India. Slic holds a Master of Pharmacy in Pharmacology from Appasaheb Bimale College of Pharmacy. Sangli affiliated with Shivaji University, Kollhapur. She also carmod a Diploma in Pharmacy from the Institute of Pharmacy, Loni Kd. As an academician, Ms. Age is actively engaged in teaching and mentoring pharmacy students across a diverse range of subjects, including Quality Assurance, Human Anatomy and Physiology, Pharmacology, Pathophysiology, Microbiology, and Physical Pharmaceutics. Her academic interests include pharmaceutical quality systems, regulatory compliance, good manufacturing practices, and quality-oriented approaches in pharmaceutical education and industry. She has contributed to pharmaceutical literature through research publications in various emerging areas of pharmaceutical sciences and has actively participated in national scientific conferences, workshops, and professional development programs. Through her dedication to teaching, research, and academic excellence, Ms. Age continues to promate quality-focused pharmaceutical education and the advancement of healthcare sciences

Ms. Sayali Vikas Pawar holds a Master of Pharmacy in Quality Assurance from Shivaji University, Kolhapur, and currently servas as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Quality Assurance at Adarsh College of Pharmacy, Vitu. She has 3.5 years of teaching experience and has actively contributed to pharmaceutical education, resourch, and student development. Her areas of expertise include Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, Validation, Quality Control, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Medicinal Plant Research, Phytochemical Analysis, and Chromatographic Techniques. She has a keen interest in the standardization and quality evaluation of herbal and pharmaceutical formulations through advanced analytical approaches. Her work focuses on integrating traditional medicinal knowledge with modern analytical and quality assessment methods to ensure the safety, efficacy, and standardization of pharmaceutical products. Among her notable achievements, she has author and co-authored in research and review publications in reputed journals and also the holder of registered design patent granted by the Government of India.
