“A wise and fresh approach to mindful parenting.”
—Tara Brach, author of Radical Acceptance

A kinder, more compassionate world starts with kind and compassionate kids. In Raising Good Humans, you'll discover practical mindful parenting strategies to break free from reactive parenting habits, manage parenting stress, and raise kind, cooperative, and confident children.

Whether you're running late for school, trying to get your child to eat their vegetables, or dealing with an epic meltdown in the grocery store, parenting can push even the most patient person to their limit. When stress takes over, many parents react on autopilot—often by yelling, criticizing, or losing their cool. But you can learn to respond differently.

Using evidence-based mindfulness and emotional regulation skills, you'll learn how to calm your own stress response when difficult emotions arise so you can respond to your children with greater patience, compassion, and intention.

In this practical guide to mindful parenting, you'll learn how to:

Manage parenting stress and big emotions without automatically yelling or reacting
Break reactive parenting habits and replace them with more thoughtful responses
Use mindfulness to stay calm and present during challenging parenting moments
Communicate more respectfully and strengthen your connection with your child
Practice reflective listening and effective conflict resolution
Recognize your own triggers and unhelpful parenting patterns
Break intergenerational cycles and change habits passed down from your own parents
Build a more peaceful, cooperative parent-child relationship

The goal isn't to become a perfect parent. It's to become a more mindful, emotionally regulated parent who can respond instead of react, even when your child is pushing every button you have.

When children experience a parent responding with kindness and patience, they learn those skills too. By changing your own automatic reactions, you can help your children develop emotional awareness, compassion, and resilience while creating healthier patterns that can continue for generations.

Raising Good Humans is an essential guide for parents who want to reduce yelling, manage parenting stress, improve their relationships with their children, and create a calmer, more connected family.
