About this audiobook series

Witness and Presence brings together two very different books connected by the same question: What does it mean to remain present when faith, conscience, and responsibility ask something of you?

In The One Who Stayed, an unnamed boy follows Jesus from the edges of the crowd, witnessing events he does not fully understand but cannot bring himself to leave.

In Advocate and Witness, an experienced attorney examines what it means to practice law while remaining accountable not only to professional duty, but also to conscience and Christian faith.

One is literary Christian fiction. The other is reflection drawn from a life in the law. Together, they explore witness not as passive observation, but as the decision to stay, to see clearly, and to remain responsible for what one has seen.

Two different worlds. One continuing question: what do you do after you have witnessed something that asks you to respond?

I like Witness and Presence much better than forcing these into a “Staying” series. It explains their real connection while preserving how different the two books actually are.
