About this audiobook

“Most people just laugh when they hear that the secret to success is giving. . . . Then again, most people are nowhere near as successful as they wish they were.”

The Go-Giver tells the story of an ambitious young man named Joe who yearns for success. Joe is a true go-getter, though sometimes he feels as if the harder and faster he works, the further away his goals seem to be. Desperate to land a key sale at the end of a bad quarter, he seeks advice from the enigmatic Pindar, a legendary consultant referred to by his many devotees simply as the Chairman.

Over the next week, Pindar introduces Joe to a series of “go-givers”: a restaurateur, a CEO, a financial adviser, a real estate broker, and the “Connector” who brought them all together. Pindar’s friends teach Joe the Five Laws of Stratospheric Success and help him open himself up to the power of giving.

Joe learns that changing his focus from getting to giving—putting others’ interests first and continually adding value to their lives—ultimately leads to unexpected returns.

Imparted with wit and grace, The Go-Giver is a classic bestseller that brings to life the old proverb “Give and you shall receive.”

Nearly a decade since its original publication, the term “go-giver” has become shorthand for a defining set of values embraced by hundreds of thousands of people around the world. Today this timeless story continues to help its readers find fulfillment and greater success in business, in their personal lives and in their communities.

This expanded edition includes the text of the original business parable, together with a foreword by Arianna Huffington, a new introduction, a discussion guide, and a Q&A with the authors.

Touches my heart. Will never get tired of the smiles. One day at a Diner I saw an older man; lonely & hungry. I walked over & kindly asked " Would you like a bite to eat?" Right then I saw the spark in his eyes; the gold in his heart & the skip in his walk return .I was the one on that day that I received those 3 kisses from Above. My life will never be the sam. Thank you

This book is amazing, it clearly re-iterates the ideas that we learn as kids that it is truly better to give than it is to receive. This parable walks you through a transitional tale of the lead Joe and his desire's as a Go-Getter and by the time it is done he learns the values of being a Go-Giver. The irony here is that if you look at the base of this very intent it is your values that will contribute to your overall value and how much you can provide to others (Think of these values as Knowledge Capital that contribute to your overall net worth). This is a book that everyone should read to help us recenter ourselves on the core tenants of the values we are taught as children. Unequivocally our society is better as a whole than it is as segregated segmented parts operating independently. When we collaborate and share unabashedly we engage others to want to do the same creating stronger bonds of trust and verisimilitude (word of the day right here). The narrative style of this book is masterfully done and there is at least one character that you will find you can associate with among them, even if it isn't the hero Joe. This book should be taught in schools as early as reasonably can be and re-iterated again before we enter the workforce, to help us achieve the greatest outcomes.
