Four Letter Word

It's been a long time since I've read/listened to a book written by this author. Every time I wonder why. She's an excellent writer. Loved the storyline and characters. I found myself laughing throughout. There were some heart squeezing moments as well. The HEA had me smiling ear to ear. The narrators are excellent! They brought this audiobook to life with emotional performances that had it rolling like a movie in my head. Perfection. #ValentinePRaudioreview

Love love love this audiobook!! This fun story starts when Sydney accidentally calls Brian thinking he is the man who broke her best friend's heart. After reading him the riot act, he helps her to realize their mistake and they become platonic texting friends. Their relationship turns steamy pretty quickly and my love for this story grew from there. Brian is hiding a huge secret from Sydney while working on healing from his past trauma. Together they start to work their way through it. I love the witty banter between Sydney and Brian and the angst that builds the closer they get to each other and work to heal together.

Sydney and Brian took me on an emotional roller coaster that was superbly narrated with dual narration. From full on smiles, to tears streaming down my cheeks, to having the actual aches in my stomach and heart with them, they ran the full range of emotions, dragging me along. Of course, I loved every second and either couldn’t wait to get back into the story, even those moments that I knew would make me cringe. Two people who needed time and space to heal, finding each other by accident, and giving that safe space to make it happen. There was only good in and for these two, and it was all well deserved that they finally get their HEA!
