Living Translation: Their stories

When was the last time you saw a miracle?

Scratching your head...or maybe you're already skeptical?

These pages are full of documented miracles happening everyday-the power of God moving through ordinary men and woman all around the world.

Their stories begin with desperation, and the struggle and the perseverance these national translators show is guaranteed to inspire....these are the least of these. Humble people-largely unknown to anyone else in the world. People hungry for God's Word. People willing to risk everything, sacrifice their own ambitions, to be able to read Scripture in their heart language...stopping at nothing until they hold the precious Word of God-in their language-for the very first time.

From the mountainous expanse of Asia, across the deserts of Africa, to the plains and grasslands of South America, Dr. Bruce A. Smith details the stories-miracles-of national translators, in gripping detail that will stir your heart and convict you deeply of God's active work. And you will rejoice over what He is doing through His Church today.

Miracles are happening in hundreds of churches right now-these are "Their Stories'!

A living translation...that's how Bruce Smith describes his life. After 40 years of international ministry, and traveling to over one hundred countries around the world, Bruce believes in the power of Gods' Word to transform lives. As Founder and Board Chair of Serve the Global Church, Bruce has made it his life-long goal to reach as many people as possible with the Gospel through the ministry of Bible translation-affecting hundreds of language groups who sill need the Bible translated into their heart language. "My desire is to see the truth of Scripture transform the lives of people through the world bringing honor and glory to God," says Smith. Bruce and his wife Jan live in Destin, Florida. They have two daughters, two sons-in-love and are the proud grandparents of four grandsons.
