About this audiobook

It uses your DNA against you.

It evolves faster than you can fight back.

As cities collapse, one woman stands between us and extinction.

In the middle of the night, as the last cell tower fails, Lucy gets a desperate warning from her lover: "Worse is coming."

It started with the satellites. Then the power. Then phones. As utilities and communications fail, panic and violence spread. Lucy has just hours to get ahead of the mob. But when the first infections appear, it’s already too late.

D4 isn't a virus. It's not a weapon. It's evolution – and it's hunting us. Thrust onto the frontline of a bio-war, Lucy must decide how much of herself she's willing to lose in pursuit of survival.

#1 international bestselling series. Packed with twists, grit, and sacrifice, the Convulsive series is an award-winning, gripping dystopian thriller, with a whole new take on the post-apocalyptic genre.

WARNING: This series cuts close to the bone. It contains strong language and depicts scenes of a violent nature. You will be immersed in a vivid, dystopian disaster, where Lucy’s life hangs by a thread. This is not a journey for the faint of heart. For Lucy, there’s no going back...

Perfect for fans of Michael Crichton, A. G. Riddle and Hugh Howey, this action-packed epic will keep you turning pages late into the night. Read the full series now, before D4 mutates again.

Narration was good. The story was long winded. Title is misleading. I listened to the entire story. I'll give it credit that the end didn't go entirely off the rails. Overall though, the characters annoyed me and I'm not sure how this was a best selling novel. It earned a record for how many times the word "cacophony" can be used in a story. I downloaded it to listen to while on the treadmill so it did its job. I wouldn't buy it again though. If you want quality scifi/horror, you can't beat exploring the classics.
