The Deadening

For fans of Gregg Hurwitz and Mark Greaney, a propulsive action thriller—vigilante assassin Silence Jones unearths a twenty-year serial killer cover-up protected by people still in power.

A BODY BENEATH THE CONCRETE. A KILLER ERASED FROM HISTORY. A COVER-UP PROTECTED BY POWER.

When workers drain a suburban pool and discover human remains buried for twenty years, the victim is labeled John Doe and the case quietly filed away. Until a woman comes forward claiming to be the only survivor of a serial killer who once hunted in the area.

Vigilante assassin Silence Jones is sent to verify her story—or expose her as a fraud. But what he finds is worse than either. The killings were real. The records were altered. And the people who buried the truth are still in power.

They've had decades to perfect the cover-up. They've silenced witnesses, destroyed evidence, and built a network designed to keep the dead buried.

But they never planned on Silence Jones digging them up.

Perfect for fans of Brad Thor, Gregg Hurwitz, and Mark Greaney.
