About this audiobook
At four years old, Pax West nearly killed another child.
Testing revealed why: the part of his brain responsible for emotions, morals, and ethics was simply missing. Neurologists had never seen anything like it. Most said he wouldn't survive to adulthood. Some said he should be euthanized before he got the chance.
Dr. Alan Kepler of DARPA saw something else entirely: the perfect weapon.
Trained, shaped, and hardwired with an unbreakable sense of duty, Pax became a Navy SEAL by eighteen and a CIA Ghost by twenty-four — a man who didn't officially exist, doing the things that couldn't officially happen. He had no conscience to wrestle with. Just the mission.
Until the mission becomes impossible: the man who built him has betrayed the country he was made to protect. And the only way to stop World War III is to save the very enemy he's been sent to kill.
Narrated by the acclaimed voice actor Adam Barr, Scorched Earth is perfect for fans of Brad Thor, Vince Flynn, and Lee Child.
