About this audiobook

A powerful vampire. A human detective. A desire neither of them can escape.

When a string of brutal murders pulls detective Sydney Willows into a case unlike anything she’s faced before, she’s forced to work with Kade Issacson, a dominant, dangerously seductive vampire with secrets he doesn’t share.

Kade has spent centuries hunting monsters who prey on the innocent. Protecting Sydney should be simple. Falling for her is not. As the threat closes in and Sydney becomes the next target, he must decide how far he’s willing to go to keep her alive... and what he’s willing to risk to make her his.

Set in a world of vampires, shifters, witches, and powerful alphas, Kade’s Dark Embrace is the first audiobook in the bestselling Immortals of New Orleans series.

If he wasn't a vampire, we'd be shouting report him for controlling behaviour & threats. She earned her place on the police force & gave it all up for an attraction & great sex.. please.

I did not want to stop listening to this story. Sydney was an intelligent woman, good in her job. Suddenly Kade joined her investigation because of the nature of the murders. The connection between them was hot, and Kade's natural dominance pushed her limits at times. With a little self-doubt, Sydney was not sure of his true feelings. I loved them as a couple, enjoyed the secondary characters, and need to look into the rest of the series. The narration by Ryan West added to the story.

One of my ultimate top 5 books. A must listen to for all lovers of paranormal romance books with a bite, and don't forget about the best narrators I've heard in a long time
