AND DOWN CAME THE RAIN

A killer who never leaves a clue is finishing the cases the justice system left unresolved.

Dr. Alec Ross has spent his career reading crime scenes for what's missing, not what's there. When a retired judge is found dead in a San Antonio park with nothing but a note reading CASE CLOSED, Alec is pulled into a pattern six years and four states in the making — a killer who selects victims not for what they did, but for how the public forgave them.

As the investigation closes in, Alec discovers the case isn't just about the dead. It's about his own family — a father who kept secrets, an uncle he never knew existed, and a name buried in his past that the killer has been waiting for him to find.

A gripping novella of obsession, inheritance, and the cost of justice that comes too late.
