About this audiobook

A frozen harbor town. A death dressed up as an accident. And a baker who notices what no one else does.

Mid-winter has locked Crescent Harbor under nine days of frost when the town's beloved veterinarian is found at the bottom of her clinic steps. The official story is a slip on the ice. But Sage Holloway — baker, observer, and reluctant keeper of the town's harder truths — sees what the ice is really saying. It wasn't there when Dr. Halberg fell. Someone poured it after.

Worse: Halberg had asked to see Sage just days before. She'd found something. Something about Shadow. Something worth keeping in a locked cabinet — a cabinet now forced open and empty.

As Sage follows a trail of too-careful anonymous letters, a vanished page, and a pattern she's seen once before, she realizes this death was never about one fall on the ice. It was steered. And the hand that aimed it is still across the harbor, lights burning late into the night.

Warm, quiet, and threaded with the comfort of a working bakery in deep winter, Frost Light is the second Moonlight Shadow Mystery — a slow-burn cozy about patience, attention, and the long game between a baker who won't stop looking and an adversary who counts on everyone else looking away.

Perfect for readers of small-town cozy mysteries with recurring characters, a gentle romance, an amateur sleuth, and an ongoing series arc

Awful book! The author was so repetitive. How many sentences in a row can you start with the word she? Often the author would start a sentence by repeating the end of the previous sentence. "In the way of a man/woman/cat who...." seemed to be a favorite phrase. It seemed like the author just needed to hit a certain word count and decided to just say the same things over and over again. So many times it felt like the book should just hurry up & end, but it dragged on. I wish I had abandoned this book instead of wasting hours on it. This author goes on my list of never read again.
