Memories of a Crush

At twelve years old, on the front steps of Cape Royale Middle School, Jacob and Sara made a pinky swear: if neither of them is married by thirty, they meet on these steps — January 1, 2027, ten a.m. sharp. Then a moving truck took him to London, and each of them spent eighteen years believing they were the only one who remembered.

Now Jacob is back for one week to sell his late parents' house. But Sara's reformed ex-husband is campaigning to win her back with a ring in his pocket, half the single women in town have noticed the man in the gray coat, and all of Cape Royale is placing bets. As New Year's Eve burns down to midnight, four seconds of firelight may cost them everything.

A bittersweet second-chance romance about small towns, secret promises, and the planes we miss by three minutes.
